The type of objects and activities that we allow in our homes can have a major impact on the spiritual atmosphere. It took just Achan to bring the accursed thing into the camp of the Israel for the people under the leadership of Joshua to suffer great defeat in the hands of men of Ai. Joshua commanded the nation in Joshua 6:18 that they should not take of any of the accursed things, those things that were associated with the demonic and debasing worship and practices of the Canaanites. Let us be diligent in ensuring that our children do not cross the line in the kind of movies they watch, or the type of music they listen to. Those activities quench the fire of God not just in their souls but also in the home.
