Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo is a divine gift for our time. Forty-nine years ago, during his time at Bible School, he initially aspired to be an evangelist but was redirected by his Father in the Lord to embrace the role of a pastor. Pastor Matthew’s fervent desire to win souls has grown heavier as he nears the end of his pastoral career, leading him to pray for God’s face. This same burden resonates within us at prayersolutions.org, stemming from the mandate to mobilize individuals and resources for the end-time revival. This mission was birthed from a revelation on November 27, 2016, urging us to prepare for the rapture, which has been further reinforced by recent global events, such as the United States’ recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
During his participation in a crusade in Ghana, Pastor Matthew, while backstage, encountered a video showcasing the ministry’s mission work. Although he had been invited to speak at the event multiple times in recent years, he had never previously paid attention to the video. However, on this occasion, God opened his eyes to witness the profound impact of their outreach, aligning closely with the vision God had entrusted to him.
This pivotal moment inspired Pastor Matthew to embark on a new assignment—bringing the gospel of Christ to rural communities in a way that resonates with their unique needs. Because of this, the Christ Compassion for the Rural World (CCRW) initiative was created. It is not a ministry, but rather a non-denominational platform whose goal is to show God’s love and compassion in real ways to remote villages and communities. Pastor Matthew invites everyone to join this noble cause as they strive to bring communities closer to Christ.
For prayersolutions.org, this initiative represents both a strategic opportunity and a prophetic calling, signaling the initiation of our global activities. This development also marks the fulfillment of the vision initially conceived during the groundbreaking Winning Ways conference in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2000, which eventually led to the decision to relocate to Canada. This journey commenced in Ghana in August 2001. Additionally, Pastor E. A. Adeboye’s prophetic proclamation during the RCCGNA convention in July 2023 emphasizing the season of expansion served as inspiration for the launch of the Freedom Wealth Project mission.
It’s worth noting that the current week holds historical significance, as it marks the commencement of the Igbogbo, Ikorodu crusade on Monday, November 6, 2023, and coincides with the time when the platform supported the Christ for All Nations (CFAN) crusade in Kumasi last year. This week is also significant as it marks the anniversary of the arrival of the platform’s convener and his family in Calgary, Canada, on December 13, 2004, after a preparatory journey following his graduation from the International Bible Institute of London (IBIOL). The resumption of duties as a worker and minister at the RCCG House of Dominion in Accra on October 22, 2023, after a period of interruption due to discouraging events in local parish initiatives at the New Jerusalem parish, highlights the realignment of ministry work within the RCCG. It appears that the Lord is utilizing Accra once more as the launch pad for the next 20 years of focused mission work, echoing the groundbreaking event of the 2000 Winning Ways Conference.
